Our Little Ode to Bees.

Bees have been a symbol of immortality and resurrection since ancient times. They are fascinating insects with striking similarities to our own models of living. As cross-pollinators, they play a fundamental role in our environment. And with 20.000 different species around the world, they are extremely diverse!

They develop impressive communication skills in the hive to optimise their performance and survival – the key to maintaining their harmonious environment. Success relies on a strict separation of roles. Each role is clearly defined; all activities are precisely planned. Nevertheless, it’s flexibility and innovation that bees rely on most when the survival of the hive is at stake. Festooning, for example, is a phenomenon where bees will form long, gravity-defying “bee bridges” to help complete a variety of tasks, such as hive repairs or building new combs.

Bees Bridge was inspired by the duality, cooperation, and communication skills that bees rely on for hive survival and their success. They are an ideal representation of organisations and individuals who choose to embrace the challenge of reinventing themselves.
